20th March 2010 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: NNW Wind Stength: 18-25 knots Surf / Sea State: 1 foot surf Air Temperature: 9ºC Sea Temperature: 7ºC Weather: Cloudy Max Speed: 24.74 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 11.7 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) An unexpected wind arrived in the afternoon and it seemed OK for a session on the seafront so I headed over with my Starboard S-Type and 5.6m sail. It turned out to be the perfect combination as I was perfectly powered up with it and had a good cruise in easy conditions. The wind was really steady and of course a little bit more would have been nice but it was enough to get me going. It was never going to be fast or too exciting as the wind wasn't howling and there wasn't much in the way of waves, but it was good to get out and simply cruise around. |
